- "They did amazing things that I could never do."
- "I liked the music and the trampoline acts."
- "I liked it because it was really active and there were a lot of bikes and I like bikes too."
- "They did lots of flips on the trampoline. It was cool."
- "I like the yo yos"
Those are just a few of the reasons. There were lots more:)
We also had our last Hands on Nature this week. We got to learn about streams and answered these questions: What kinds of animals live in streams? What is their
habitat? Does a stream have more than one kind of habitat?
Our volunteers began with a puppet show. Then the class headed down behind Heritage Lane to an actual stream and looked to see what they could find living in it. We found various insects and one student even found a crayfish. We also tested to see how fast the stream was moving. After visiting the stream, we came back and recorded what we found in our Hands on Nature journals. The class had a lot of fun!! Again I would like to thank Janet, Marcela and Kate for volunteering this year to lead Hands on Nature. The class looked forward to it each month!! We hope you will be back again next year:)
Have a wonderful weekend,
Nancy
