We also finished up our final science unit this week. The team worked in pairs and made a hand pollinator. They then tested their hand pollinator to see if it was effective or not. Most of the students were satisfied with their creation and thought it was a successful pollinator.
We started the week with a beautiful day for Jog-a-thon. I want to thank all of the parents who came to help! The children just love this day. They ran for 40 minutes in the morning and then we had the picnic lunch outside with the DJ. Boy this class loves to dance!!! Check out the pictures from the Jog-a-thon:)
On Wednesday the class had a chance to experience Zumba with a certified instructor. The class loved it. Hopefully your child shared this with you.
We also had the opportunity to learn about giraffes this week from our Discovery table. Corey told us about his favorite animal with a presentation board he prepared and some great books full of information on giraffes. He is an expert! Check out the photos that we have.
Today I sent home a note in the Friday folders with end of the year dates. A recap of that letter is:
On
Wednesday, June 5th we will be having our team picnic at Shelburne
Beach. Families will need to bring their
own dinners. The team will provide
dessert and we will celebrate summer birthdays.
It will be from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm.
Let’s hope for nice weather. If
it does rain, the raindate is June 6th.
On
Tuesday, June 11th we will have our Field Day.
We’d like to thank the parents who have volunteered to help on that
morning. We could still use a few more
volunteers if you are available. We need parents from about 8:45 am until 11:15
am. Just let us know if you are able to
help.
